COMPUTING

The whole experience of Computing is in line with our vision. In particular, this is evident in how progression of skills are evident across the school, how pupils work collaboratively with each other on projects and how pupils learn to be safe online.

The Big Ideas in Computing are:

Digital Literacy: the ability to find, create and communicate information using various digital platforms.

Information Technology: using digital tools (computers, tablets, cameras and software) to create, store, organise and share digital content.

Computation: solving problems by creating, testing and de-bugging step-by step instructions.

Digital Systems: using a combination of hardware and software on the school network and exploring how computer networks function.

Programming: the process of designing, writing and testing coding.
