Online Safety

Online Safety

Online safety teaching takes place in Computing lessons; PSHCE lessons and Collective Worship. The school recognises that part of being digitally literate is acting safely and responsibly with digital devices.

Our Online Safety Leader is: Mr. Chris Grey (Designated Safeguarding Lead; Headteacher)

The school's ICT provision is managed by Cambridgeshire ICT Service and benefits from a firewall and the protection it affords. This includes monitoring and filtering features to support the school meeting is duty as set out in Keeping Children Safe in Education 2023.

The school follows the NCCE - Teach Computing curriculum and Cambridgeshire PSHCE Service Curriculum. Both of these curricula, include teaching on online safety and digital lifestyles. Messaging, emailing and blogging is taught and practised by children within Computing lessons.

The school works with the local authority to support online safety teaching and learning across our school community.
